About the Author:

Stephen Leon is the author of the boarding school mysteries Farmington River and Leave of Absence. He is currently working on a third novel, To the Highest Bidder, a fictional whodunit set amid the very real and very controversial 2018 sell-off of valuable paintings by Norman Rockwell and others from the collection of the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, Mass., the author’s hometown.

Stephen Leon also is the author of many short stories, essays, blog posts, and newspaper and magazine articles, and spent 25 years editing the Albany, N.Y., alternative newsweekly Metroland.

He graduated from Princeton University (B.A., Economics), and Northwestern University (M.S., Journalism). In addition to writing, Leon also edits books, coaches and edits college admissions essays, and periodically teaches writing at the University at Albany.

Stephen Leon lives in Albany with two of his four sons, and two cats.
